Our Vision

Slow Down Look Up

The world is in such a hurry.

Busyness has become a curse for the Church, it distracts us from serving and pulls our gaze away from our God, who should always be our focus. We as spirit filled, born again followers of Christ must make it our priority to take time to rest in Him. To take moments to slow down and look up to our saviour.

This is a posture of life that will set us apart. If we don’t stop and position ourselves before our King we will never be a healthy Church family or fulfil the mission we have been given. It is in this place of rest with the Lord that we are transformed, renewed, strengthened and equipped for every good work!

We must take time and look to the one who is able to do far more than we could ever hope or imagine.

Disciples Who Make Disciples

Jesus filled his disciples with his spirit to enable them to live as His people on earth and spread the good news to every man, woman and child. This has always been, and continues to be, our mission!

Discipleship is about growing together in our identity in Christ, knowledge of the gospel and Godly lifestyles, all underpinned with honesty and our great purpose to make more disciples. God builds us up for intimacy with Him and sends us out to invite the world into that same relationship!

Everyone who loves the Lord is a disciple and our goal is to glorify the risen Jesus. All we do as disciples should be marked by humility and grace, knowing that we are deeply loved and so is everyone else, so we should display that same love to each other and the whole world!

One United Church

One of Jesus’ greatest miracles was to unite jew and gentile as one people. All are welcome in His Church, this was Christ’s prayer and something that should be our ultimate goal.

Unity does not simply happen by trying hard to like each other.

Jesus prayed that we would be one, even as He is one with the father. This has only been made possible by the work of Jesus on the cross. We, His Church, still have a part to play as through history this has seldom been realised!

If we are united in our outlook and posture, and in our purpose and mission, then the product will be Christ’s Church in beautiful unity, a readied bride who is eagerly awaiting Jesus’ return!
